How it works
FAQ

Good questions.

What is Solana?
A fast public blockchain. DOSE keeps your wallet there, so payments and trades settle in seconds and anyone can check them on Solscan.
What are “dollars” on DOSE?
USDC, a dollar-backed stablecoin issued by Circle. One USDC is designed to equal one US dollar.
Do I need an iPhone?
DOSE works in iMessage, so you text it from an iPhone, iPad or Mac.
What does it cost?
Sending costs 0.5% (minimum $0.05), and it’s free if you hold 100,000 $DOSE. Trading costs 1.5%, down to 0.5% for $DOSE holders, and buying $DOSE itself is free. Receiving is free and network fees are on us.
What is $DOSE?
DOSE’s own token, a pump.fun coin. Holding it lowers what you pay: free sends from 100,000 $DOSE and trades down to 0.5%. 50% of every DOSE fee buys $DOSE back and burns it. It’s a utility token, not an investment.
Which tokens can I trade?
Any token on Solana with a market. A ticker works when exactly one verified token uses it; otherwise DOSE lists the options, and a contract address always works.
What if the price moves?
The price is checked again when you reply YES. If you’d get less than the minimum you approved, nothing is bought or sold and you get a new quote.
What if I send to the wrong person?
Every payment is read back to you with the recipient before anything happens. Blockchain payments can’t be reversed, so check it before you reply YES.
What if they don’t use DOSE?
Their wallet is created the moment you pay them. If they’ve texted DOSE before, they get a text right away; if not, you get a ready-made message to forward to them.
Can I use Face ID instead of YES?
Yes, if you want to. Text SECURITY and pick every payment and trade, or only those over an amount you choose. Those payments then come with a link: tap it and look at your phone. Your face never leaves your iPhone; we only get a signature from a passkey stored there.
What if I lose my phone?
Your wallet belongs to your phone number. Get your number back from your carrier and you’re back in. The $5,000 daily limit, and the 12-hour wait to raise it, keep the risk small in the meantime.
Can I move money out?
Anytime. Send to any Solana address, like your exchange account or your own wallet.
Is DOSE a bank?
No. DOSE is software that keeps a Solana wallet for your number and moves digital assets when you tell it to. Balances are not bank deposits and are not insured.
